Baby It's Cold Outside...Don't forget your device can get frostbite, too!

Brrrr....I don't know about you all, but I couldn't feel my toes this morning after standing at the bus stop with my kiddos.  It is COLD! Image credit: http://travel.penang-fyi.com/ Believe it or not, we aren't the only ones who don't like the cold.  Your mobile devices (laptops, phones, chromebooks, tablets, etc.) don't like being cold either.  As you bring your devices back and forth from work, please remember to always bring them inside with you, instead of leaving them in your vehicle. If you do accidentally leave them in the cold, DO NOT PLUG THEM IN RIGHT AWAY!  Bring them inside, and let them warm up for several hours.  The cold will cause condensation to build up inside the machines and the instant heat from powering them up will cause damage to the battery and the electronics of the device.  Water and electricity don't mix. Pivot Troubleshooting

Several of us have had issues getting logged into Pivot (5D website).  Here are some tips to help you get logged in. Remember to always log-out when you are finished working in PIVOT , instead of simply "x"ing out of the window. This will help prevent future log-in and functionality issues.  If you are having login issues, first clear your cache and cookie browsing data and try again.  Close your browser Click on the battery icon in the lower right of your chromebook. Click on Settings Click Show Advanced Settings Scroll down to the Privacy section Click Clear Browsing Data Check the boxes, and choose "From the Beginning of Time".  Clear browsing data. Now restart your chromebook and try logging in again. If that does not work, please consult your principal for assistance. If he/she are unable to assist, please contact the help desk.
